The Walden Project, Or Life in the Suburbs of Silicon Valley, is a 186-page, 6 x 9 book written by author, CJ Becker. He writes in his introduction:
My project comes from diary notes collected over a period of thirty years living on a 10,000 square foot property in the wilds of Silicon Valley. In many ways it continues the discussion between Thoreau and Skinner about the value of self-reliance and the need for community. It combines direct observation with a the literary tradition in natural history backed by a fully stocked library and the recursive, fact checking capacity provided by the web.
